08 - 8 sheets phyllo pastry (about 7 oz), thawed
09 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
→ Topping
10 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)
# How-To Steps:
01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine diced apples, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons melted butter in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
03 - Place one phyllo sheet on a clean surface. Lightly brush with melted butter. Repeat with second sheet, brushing again.
04 - Spoon 2 to 3 heaping tablespoons of filling along one short edge of the stacked phyllo sheets, leaving a 3/4 inch border. Fold sides inward and roll tightly to form a log.
05 - Place roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat assembly for all remaining phyllo sheets and filling to make 8 rolls.
06 - Brush tops of rolls with any remaining melted butter.
07 - Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until rolls turn golden brown and crisp.
08 - Let the rolls cool slightly, then dust evenly with powdered sugar before serving.
